Our newest members got hands-on experience as they build towards getting their own. The colonies looked good this week, whilst wax moth was seen in the hives. This was less than reported during the previous week’s inspections. The newest Nuc (four) queen cells did not appear viable, so Andy knocked these back and provided a frame of eggs from Nuc on.
The club is looking to keep the Apiary at eight hives, and so we are looking to sell on the Nuc’s (The bees and frames only)
