This Sunday, the club held a public day, welcoming members of the public who were interested in learning more about beekeeping. The event, spearheaded by the ever-enthusiastic Tony, was a success, with some looking to sign up for another taster session.
Tony, a seasoned beekeeper with a wealth of knowledge, took centre stage, leading an informative discussion on all things beekeeping. From the intricate social structure of a honeybee colony to the essential role these pollinators play in our ecosystem. His passion for bees was evident, and his clear explanations ensured everyone stayed focused.
The club members who also attended were divided into smaller groups, and each member worked together to inspect the remaining colonies.
