Apiary Hive Report 28 May 2023

Default Hive Reports Featured ImageHERE or on the logo for the full report. Tony Lack was the lead beekeeper today at what was a public inspection.  One member of the public has taken up membership of the Association so that they can come and help assist at the Apiary.  This is to help improve their knowledge leading up to obtaining their first colony on the back of Tony discussing beekeeping with them.  It’s always great to have a new member join us and come to the Apiary inspection. A few of our colonies have swarmed, primary and potentially cast.

Currently, we have colonies in 7 hives and four Nuc boxes; depending on how successful the virgin queens are, we may need to merge some of the bees in the Nucs into existing colonies in the hives.
